Privacy Policy

Overview

cubby does not collect, store, or share personal information. Your data stays on your device and in your iCloud account.

Data Storage

All pantry items, categories, and settings are stored locally on your device using Core Data. If you're signed into iCloud, data syncs via Apple's CloudKit. Marcbex does not operate any servers and has no access to your iCloud data.

Household Sharing

When you share your pantry with household members, data is shared through CloudKit's sharing infrastructure. Each person uses their own iCloud account. Marcbex cannot see shared data.

Analytics

cubby uses PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics — such as which features are used and how often — to help us improve the app. This data does not include your name, email, inventory items, or any personally identifiable information. Your pantry and shopping list data never leaves your device and iCloud account.

cubby does not use advertising SDKs or tracking pixels.

Authentication

cubby does not require account creation. There are no usernames, passwords, or email addresses collected. iCloud sign-in is handled entirely by Apple.

Third-Party Services

cubby uses the following third-party services:

• Apple CloudKit — data sync and household sharing, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• PostHog — anonymous usage analytics, governed by PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

cubby does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
